DD Kaylock & Co is a family farming business, named after their grandfather Dal Dahlmahoy Kaylock and have been farming north of the Murray river in NSW, west of Moulamein in the Riverina, since the late 1890s. DD Kaylock & Co grow a wide range of crops, both dry land and irrigated using modern methods and technology over four adjoining properties amounting to 7000 ha.
Traditionally DD Kaylock & Co grow wheat, barley, oats, canola, lentils, peas, safflower, vetch and corn, storing a large proportion of crop on the farm enabling supply of grain all year round. For many years the Kaylock family have been working with commercial companies growing new varieties of grain for release. Not an easy task, requiring great attention to detail, to ensure a clean uncontaminated product is produced.
This quality of grain is highly sought after as feed for the bird industry, which is particularly suitable for racing pigeon breeders with bulk qualities of grain customers that they can custom mix to their birds needs. DD Kaylock & Co ensure their grain is of good colour, of even size, clean and tested for protein, weight and purity as well as tested for yeasts or bacteria.
